Water Well Drilling in High Springs & Surrounding Communities

At Sheffield's, Inc, we take pride in the wells that we drill. Every aspect of the process is important to us. We take time to discuss the well location with regard to water quality and your specific site plan in mind. Our desire is to give each customer a custom well that meets their specific needs.

Before We Drill

To begin the drilling process, first, we need your basic contact information, physical address, and parcel identification number to verify property ownership and the parcel's location. That information is used to apply for a construction permit with the water management district as well as to collect well-depth data for your particular property section, township, and range. This information and our many years of experience drilling wells in this area will aid us in drilling the best well for your location.

Site Selection

Let us help you decide where to drill your new well. We will take all things into consideration when choosing the well location. You may have several options or have an ideal location in mind. We will discuss setback requirements as well as the lay of the land.

What to Expect During Construction

Most wells in our area are approximately 100'-200' in total depth and can take anywhere from a day to a week to drill, with the majority taking a couple days from start to finish. Drilling sites are loud with heavy-moving machinery. For the safety of our customers and crew, we ask that during the actual drilling process, you give our team plenty of space to work, and you allow them to give all of their attention to the task at hand. We do invite our customers to watch our team drill your new well, but please observe from a safe distance. Our driller is happy to answer your questions when he is not running heavy machinery.

Drilling is Complete. Now What?

After the well has been constructed, our team will begin installing your new pump in the well and set up a new tank. They will run the pump as they clean up the job site to help develop the well and pump out any drill cuttings. It may be necessary for the customer to continue to use the well often to complete the development process before the well is connected to a residence. We are always available to our customers after the job is done should you have any questions or concerns.
